All 600 Series Flex Platforms feature the new HydraFlex float system. This efficient, hydraulic float system allows the cutterbar to maintain a consistent cutting height regardless of ground conditions. This facilitates higher ground speeds compared with conventional, mechanical float systems.New segmented skid shoes are now available on the flex platforms. They allow greater flexibility of the cutterbar to reduce field losses in down or tangled crops, and help maintain ground contact better than any other flex platform in the industry.

"Material handling and threshing performance on all STS combines has been enhanced because of a new, wider right-hand radius profile on the concave," Moron says. "The increased right-hand threshing width promotes faster, smoother crop flow with more complete threshing. The wider concave radius also helps to reduce overall power consumption in high-volume, tough material handling crop conditions."Adding to the productivity of the 9760 STS and the 9860 STS is a new high capacity unloading system. Delivering a 150 percent increase in the unloading rate versus previous models, the high-capacity system unloads at 3.3 bushels per second, the fastest unloading rate of any combine produced today. The high-capacity unloading system is standard equipment on the 9860 STS and optional on the 9760 STS.
